FATMA KHALID

Fatma Khalid is a lawyer specializing in Criminal law for youth, Immigration matters and Family law. Fatma began her career in Tanzania as a Prosecuting Trial Attorney with the Tanzanian Ministry of the Attorney General. She started her own law firm in Toronto in 2000 after graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School- Graduate Program. She was also an Assistant Prosecutor for the International Tribunal on Human Rights in Colombia.

As an active sole practitioner, Fatma has developed a passion for justice and gained a track record of resounding and sustainable success in defending clients from all ages, income levels, and cultural backgrounds. This passion coupled with her ability to connect with people, has provided her with significant advantages in advancing effective practices that enhance positive outcomes for children and families in the Criminal, Family and Child Welfare System.

Fatma is an active member of a number of local organizations in Toronto. Over the years, she has won and received a Certificate of Recognition on Business, Humanitarian and Public Service as well as Volunteer and Community Involvement Awards.
