Mr. Neil Camarta is currently President & CEO of a technology development company Field Upgrading. Mr. Camarta sits on the boards of Field Upgrading, Enmax, and the FSHD Canada Foundation, which he founded.
Mr. Camarta joined Shell Canada Limited in 1975 and held senior positions in Canada and abroad. Most notably, he led the successful development, construction, and start-up of Shell's Athabasca Oil Sands Project. Mr. Camarta retired from Shell in 2005 and joined Petro-Canada as Senior Vice President Oil Sands. When Petro-Canada merged with Suncor in 2009 Neil took on the position of Executive Vice President, Natural Gas for Suncor until 2011.
Neil was born in Edmonton, Alberta and holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
