Join Emerging Leaders' Dialogues Canada in partnership with Royal Roads University for an exceptional leadership experience for 6 days in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia, to discover how successful leaders build trust, develop cultural competencies and connections and grapple with today's real time organizational, societal and economic challenges.

Participants experience how organizations and leaders utilize authentic and transformational practices across multiple sectors to remove barriers and open diverse, collaborative and sustainable economic opportunities within organizations and communities.

THE EXPERIENCE

The six-day program combines three proven leadership learning components:

» LEADERSHIP MODULES - Led by Royal Roads University facilitators, participants experience workshops and team discussions, on key leadership competencies and are challenged to review their own leadership styles.

» EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING - In small groups, participants engage in-the-field over 3 days with senior leaders of business, labour, government, and civil society organizations, learning about sectoral leadership challenges, diversity, and best practices for success.

» PEER LED DIALOGUES - Throughout the week, participants, build trust in themselves and lead dialogues on some of the most challenging issues that are encountered within workplaces, organizations and communities.

Teara Fraser, MA, CEO, Raven Institute | CEO, Iskwew Air

Teara is the first Indigenous woman to launch an airline in Canada. She established the Raven Institute to develop leaders who can draw upon Indigenous practices to creative modern approaches. In 2019, she was named a Women's Executive Network (WXN) 2019 Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winner.

Guy Nasmyth, PhD, Principal, Guy Nasmyth Consulting

As a former senior leader with the federal government, Guy has a longstanding interest in leadership and leadership development. Nasmyth is a consultant with the government as well as with for-profit and non-profit organizations. Nasmyth teaches at the graduate level in the schools of Leadership Studies and Professional and Continuing Studies at Royal Roads.
