James led a session of impactful leadership insights and practical tools that enhanced alumni capacity to generate new possibilities, and changed the way they worked and related with others in order to achieve meaningful results. This session touched upon essential leadership distinctions that exist within each of us that reinforce everyday actions and commitments.
DISCUSSION SESSION: How do we engage ELD Alumni for the future?
A discussion on activities and operations that ELD Canada can engage in to assist the organization with future programs, marketing and participant recruitment.
SECTORAL REVIEW: Fishery Union Update
Bill Broderick, Inshore Director, Fish, Food and Allied Workers (FFAW) Union
Bill presented on the challenges and innovations within the sector, and spoke about the future of the fishing and fish harvesting industry in Newfoundland and Labrador.
SOCIAL EVENT: Quidi Vidi Brewery Tour
Fondly referred to as "The Gut" by locals, Quidi Vidi Village is one of Newfoundland's best kept secrets. Situated in the heart of St. John's, this rustic and historic fishing village manages to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Quidi Vidi has been brewing world-class beer for the local, select Canadian and International markets for 15 years and presently brews eight brands of beer.
