John Abraham is the President and COO of TAO Administration Inc. and a co-founder of the TAO Group of Companies, established in 2009. One of the focuses of John's role at TAO is on its public-private partnership with the Business Development Bank of Canada, providing financing to independent lease and finance companies focused on lending to small and medium sized businesses in Canada.
Prior to TAO, John spent 5 years with a Canadian investment bank specializing in securitization, and before that he was a partner at the law firm of Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP in Toronto where he had over 20 years' experience primarily in asset finance and leasing, securitization, private mergers and acquisitions, banking and restructuring law. John has spoken at a number of legal and finance industry conferences on a variety of topics over the years, served and serves as a director of several private companies, and among other volunteer activities has coached youth soccer and hockey.
John attended Trinity College at the University of Toronto, holds an LL.B from Osgoode Hall Law School and has been a member of the Ontario Bar since 1983.
