Sherri Altshuler is a partner at Aird & Berlis, a leading Toronto-based law firm. Sherri provides relevant, business- focused solutions to clients with corporate/commercial and capital markets issues. Her depth of perspective and understanding of corporate and securities law matters comes from her ongoing representation of clients ranging from small and medium enterprises to established multi- billion dollar corporations.
Sherri is a member of the firm's Capital Markets, Corporate/ Commercial and Mining Groups as well as a member of the firm's Capital Pool Company, Startups and Cannabis Groups. She has developed specialized expertise in mergers, acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, public and private financings and capital markets transactions. Sherri regularly advises corporations on reverse takeovers,
stock exchange listings, continuous disclosure and corporate governance.
In 2010, Sherri completed a six-month term of secondment with the Corporate Finance Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Ontario Securities Commission Small and Medium Enterprises Committee, and sits on the Board of The Arthritis Society (Ontario). Sherri also instructs Corporate Finance at Windsor Law School and is a frequent public speaker. In 2017, Sherri was recognized as one of Lexpert's Rising Stars: Canada's Leading Lawyers Under 40.
